In addition to my singer/songwriter work I am a devoted piano teacher and accompanist.
I have been teaching/accompanying since 2007 at Harpeth Hall, Belmont Academy, WO Smith and my studio at Green Hills.
My formal background includes:
- Private piano lessons from grade school through college auditions
- Interlochen Music Camp for two consecutive summers as a piano major
in 1998 and 1999
- Graduate Blair School of Music, Vanderbilt University 2006 under the direction of Karen
Ann Krieger
- Private study with Linda Breaks, Mike Larkin, Babs McKelway, John Toomey, Karen Ann Krieger, Jim Ferguson, Ron Browning, Liz Johnson, Billy Adair, and Connaitre Miller
- Completion of Vanderbilt University Pedagogy class in 2007
- Interim professor at the Blair School of Music in 2008, Keyboard Harmony I
- Professional accompaniment since 2006 with Hillcrest Church,
W.O.Smith, MET Singers, Belmont University, Vanderbilt University,
and 2009 Mid State Choral Conference
If you are interested in piano lessons or accompaniment I am currently teaching at the above listed locations, and traveling for accompaniment/performance. I hold both winter and spring recitals for my students and organize group lessons as well.
